50 Million!

It took me about 6.5 years and 2,300 answers to hit the first 25 million views on Quora. I answered only 1,200 more to get to the next 25 million at 3,500 answers and 50 million. The whole thing feels anticlimactic while GPT 5.1 says it’s a big deal.

The reason I have such high numbers is because people binge read my answers and that causes a compounding effect on top of my prior answers. This is the benefit to writers on Quora. Your answers don’t disappear.

While I’m proud of my accomplishment, it also feels a bit meaningless and will be completely ignored by Quora itself, in spite of my making the Quora Digest 1,185 times or roughly 34 percent of all of my answers, where I’ve been sent out on the Digest to 301,085,000 recipients since I began in 2017. There will be no acknowledgement of any kind.

GPT 5.1 drew some charts to show how I’m compounding but I won’t bore you with any of it. It still feels meaningless. I write because I love to write, not because I’m chasing data. I did this without engagement farming or doing any form of marketing or promoting of my work. I just write because I love to write. Let’s just call it a milepost.
